MEET DR. SAULS
As a native of southwest Virginia, Dr. Latasha Sauls feels right at home in Ruckersville. She is happy to have settled here following a tour of Virginia schools. She attended Virginia Tech for her undergraduate education and graduated summa cum laude with a major in Biological Sciences. She then went on to pursue her Doctorate of Dental Surgery at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond and was inducted into the national dental honor society, Omicron Kappa Upsilon.
Dr. Sauls moved to Charlottesville in 2010 to receive additional training at the University of Virginia. She served as Chief Resident during her last year of hospital residency and also volunteered regularly at the Charlottesville Free Clinic. She worked as an associate in the area for several years and as part-time faculty at VCU before deciding to open her own practice with her good friend and colleague, Dr. Flaherty.
Dr. Sauls practices comprehensive general dentistry, but particularly enjoys dentoalveolar surgery and sedation. When not tending to her patients, Dr. Sauls can be found at home with her fiancé, Dr. Oscar Vega, their son, Reece, whom they welcomed in April 2016, and their two English bulldogs, Hughie and Mack.
